BIO

Ms. Fatiha Serour is the Deputy Special Representative for Somalia. She was appointed to this position by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. Ms. Serour has held numerous posts within the United Nations, including senior adviser in the Department of Economic and Social Affairs and with the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan, UNAMA, and most recently, the United Nations Office for Project Services. Ms. Serour has also held the post of Director of Youth at the Commonwealth Secretariat.

Before taking up her post as Deputy Special Representative for Somalia, Ms. Serour was a Director with Serour Associates for Inclusion and Equity.
