Ms. Josette Sheeran is a business, humanitarian and diplomatic leader, with a track record of deploying effective solutions on the front lines of challenges facing humanity. She serves as Executive Chair of the McCain Institute. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Canoo, Capital Group, Vestergarrd, Lifestraw and AGRA, promoting food security and agriculture in Africa. Until 2021 she served as President and CEO of the global Asia Society and UN Special Envoy for Haiti, where she has directed successful global efforts to end a cholera epidemic. She has served as Executive Director of the UN World Food Program, Vice Chair of The World Economic Forum, U.S. Under Secretary of State for Economics, Energy and Agriculture and as Deputy US Trade Representative. Her Ted Talk on Ending World Hunger has been viewed more than 1 million times. Forbes named her as one of the 30 most powerful women in the world. She has served as a fellow at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center and is Professor of Practice at Arizona State University.
